From HEART THROB
This project brought the private space of a fantasy bedroom into the public. The audience was invited to take digital photographs of themselves and others while in the bed via a camera mounted on the ceiling and a remote. The bed was made to look like a cliche romantic fantastical location with rose petals and a pink satin bedspread.

All images were found by searching for keywords online. Gymnophobium is a space in which people experience a reaction to the fear of nudity that is constantly present in North American culture due to a sexualization of specific parts of the human body and it’s representations. The Gymophobium looks at the spectrum of images that have been censored because of the perceived offensive nudity that they contain.
